The modern comfortable studio with a kitchenette in Ubud center is 200 meters to Jl. Raya Ubud, 500 meters to supermarket, 10 min by walk to Ubud Palace and Monkey Forest Street. This is a rare opportunity to stay in a European-style room in a recently built building but within a Balinese family household and get a chance to prepare your own food. The room is on the 2nd floor, it's a spacious and well-airconditioned room with a huge balcony that can be considered as one more half-open room.
The space
To get to the room you move along one of Ubud's central streets, turn and come inside our Balinese family fenced compound with a few classic red-roof houses. Go by the small pass among our family houses and reach the high 3-floor building.
Your room is on the 2nd floor. It has a big balcony with a kitchenette. You will enjoy the shadow from the big trees around and the natural vibrations of rural Ubud's life. While the life of neighbored houses is very close and you can hear and see it, you will be hidden by the trees and feel calm and relative privacy.
The room itself is rather big and there are white-wood furniture and decoration elements for your disposal, including the desk, round table, cupboard, etc. The flower painting on the wall adds some nostalgic mood while the stylish nightlamps remind about hotel room decor.
Other things to note
Bali is experiencing an investment and building boom and there are a few buildings around that are ongoing. That means you can hear the noise during the daytime (until sunset).
Please be informed that in the tropical climate of Bali the ants can appear in minutes even in the cleanest and most well-maintained houses and we can't promise that you will not meet them. If you will face with this such a case inform us and we will make an additional cleaning as fast as we can.
In every Balinese house or villa from time to time, you can notice geckos. They usually appear on the walls and ceilings and can spend hours there, expect different small insects. In most cases, they have a size of up to 10 centimeters but sometimes they can be bigger. They are not dangerous and are a part of the Balinese cultural identity. Because of that, you can often see the gecko symbols on the gates and walls of Balinese houses. According to some traditions, the geckos in the house are a symbol of family happiness and harmony. Please note, we can do nothing about geckos and they live outside or in small cracks and can always penetrate the house. The deletion of one of them doesn't lead to their absence. After an absence for a day or even a few hours, that's quite likely that you will find traces of the presence of the geckos (dust, small lumps of earth, waste products) on the surface of the floors, chairs, beds, and tables. If you found such traces and need help, inform us and we will make an extra cleaning.
